Fabian's Peak of Maragusan, Davao De Oro, Philippines

I would like to promote and present to you one of the beautiful spots of our province- The Fabian’s Peak of Marugasan, Davao de Oro. A place wherein you can feel as if you are floating high above the earth as a sea of clouds softly roll over the mountain tops below you.

You don’t need to go to Mt. Pulag just to see the beauty of the sea of clouds but you can actually catch beautiful cloud formations in Davao De Oro especially in Maragusan. Just like in any peak, the “sea of clouds” at Fabian’s Peak really depends on the weather. To have the best chance of seeing thicker clouds, check the weather forecast for at least 3 days before your intended visit, to see if there’s a higher chance of having pleasant weather. The view is also visible for only a few hours before sunrise.
No wonder that our province "Davao de Oro" stands as a strong tourist spot in Mindanao and assemble a small fraction in the tourism in the Philippines.
Tourists are encouraged by the locals to maintain the cleanliness of the place.

How to get there?

Davao de Oro is accessible by air, land, and sea transportation. Davao City, 979 km. from Manila, is the gateway to the province. On arriving at the airport, take a taxi or a bus ride to Davao City Overland Transport Terminal at Ecoland to board a bus to Tagum. From Tagum, you can take a bus/jeep to Maragusan. From Maragusan to Fabian's peak, you have to take the famous habal-habal (modified motorcycle that can carry several people!) for P25.
